Portability
The Poulan Pro PPB40PS is a cordless pole saw that comes with a 40V Lithium-Ion battery. It weighs about 11.6 pounds which is not the most lightweight pole saw in its class but it’s still light enough to carry around.
The weight of the pole saw is evenly distributed on either end of the pole so you won’t feel tired when carrying it around for a long period of time.
The issue with cordless pole saws can be that the battery charge runs out fast and you cannot keep cutting for a long time without a recharge.
However, the good thing about the Poulan Pro PPB40PS is that the battery charge lasts for a long time. This means that you can cut for a long time without worrying about the battery levels.

Compared to the Poulan Pro PPB40PS it has a smaller battery of 20V but it weighs just 6.3 pounds which makes it almost half the weight.
Like the Poulan Pro, the Black+Decker LPP120 has a good weight distribution across the entire pole saw which makes it easy to cut for long periods of time without you having to stop for a breather.
One drawback of the Black+Decker LPP120 is that it does not have an automatic oiling system. This means that you manually need to put oil on the bar and chain before and during use.

The Oregon PS250-E6 comes with a 40V MAX battery similar to the Poulan Pro PPB40PS.
It also has a good weight distribution similar to the Poulan Pro so you won’t have the problem of fatigue when you’re carrying the pole saw around your yard for a long time.
It weighs about 10.8 pounds which is not that far from the 11.6 pounds that the Poulan Pro weighs.
Where Oregon stands out from the Poulan Pro is that it has a very good cutting power. Now the Poulan Pro has some good cutting power as well but this one is just a tad better.
However, with great power comes a higher price. The Oregon PS250-E6 costs almost twice the Poulan Pro PPB40PS.
So if you really want to invest in a commercial-grade cordless pole saw and are willing to spend a few bucks then the Oregon PS250-E6 is a good choice.

The Greenworks 20672 is almost like a cousin to the Poulan Pro PPB40PS.
It has a 40V battery and an 8-inch chain that comes with an automatic oiling system. It also has an easy adjustment chain tensioning system that should help you keep the chain well tightened before your cutting.
This pole saw weighs about 8.6 pounds which is a few pounds less than the Poulan Pro. However, the weight distribution is a bit uneven.
The Poulan Pro has better battery capacity and cutting power than the Greenworks 20672 for almost the same price.
