The Labonville chainsaw chaps are full-wrap which means they protect the front of your legs as well as your ankles.

You can also get these in several lengths so choose the one that covers your body from the waist to the top of your chainsaw shoes.

Material

The thicker the material of your chainsaw chaps the better the protection they can provide.

The Labonville chainsaw chaps come with a thick interior made with 5 layers of protective Kevlar and an outer layer of 1000 denier polyester. This means you get a chainsaw chap made of an excellent material for protecting your legs.

Size

It’s important that your chainsaw chaps have the right size to fit your body as well as allow you unrestricted movement.

The Labonville chainsaw chaps have an adjustable size so they can fit most waist sizes. They also come in several lengths so you can choose one that covers your entire leg starting from the waist to the top of your chainsaw shoes.

Quality

The best quality chainsaw chaps will give you the best protection in case of a chainsaw accident.

The Labonville chainsaw chaps are made in the USA with the high-quality protection and durability. The inner protective layers are made of good quality kevlar that will keep the chainsaw chain away from your legs in case of contact. They will also bring the chainsaw to a halt before that happens.

Standards

Chainsaw chaps need to follow certain standards so they are assured of the highest quality and safety.

The Labonville chainsaw chaps meet the standards for the ASTM F1807-14, ANSI Z133.1, and OSHA 1910-266 that ensures it’s high-quality.

Weight

The lightweight the chainsaw chaps the better will they help you move around in the garden as you are pruning branches and trees.

The Labonville chainsaw chaps weigh about 3 pounds which makes them lightweight for the level of protective material they include. You should feel quite comfortable using these chainsaw chaps and have no problems in movement.

Flexibility

It’s important that you can move freely when wearing chainsaw chaps and using the small chainsaw.

The Labonville chainsaw chaps are flexible enough to allow such movement as you’re pruning branches and trees. You should not have problems using these chainsaw chaps in any kind of weather whether hot or cold.

Pockets

Some chainsaw chaps come with pockets so you can carry tools including gears and wedges in them.

The Labonville chainsaw chaps don’t have pockets which is not a bad thing in case you feel the pockets just add weight and limit mobility.

Price

If you use the small chainsaw occasionally you may want a budget chainsaw chap that does not cost a lot. Though we do recommend getting the highest-quality chainsaw chaps because of the protection and the durability they provide.

The Labonville chainsaw chaps have very good quality having been manufactured in the USA. This does mean that they tend to be a bit expensive when compared to some of the other chainsaw chaps available.
